Tamarind Motorbike & Tour

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 6, 2026

These terms govern use of Tamarind Motorbike & Tour's website and online motorbike booking service. They work alongside the separate paper rental agreement completed before the motorbike is handed over.

Website And Account Use

  • Use the website only for genuine rental enquiries and bookings. Do not interfere with the service, misuse another person's account, or submit unlawful or misleading material.
  • Provide accurate contact, identity, licence, rental, and delivery information and keep your account access secure. Contact Tamarind promptly if account or booking information is wrong.

Online Requests And Confirmation

  • The selected bike is held while the online flow remains active. Submitting may either send a request for staff approval or begin payment, depending on the flow shown on screen.
  • In the approval-first flow, submission is a request, not confirmation. The booking is confirmed when Tamarind approves it; payment instructions follow approval.
  • When offered after staff approval, bank transfer, Wise or Revolut can pay the exact THB amount of your chosen booking offer. Staff must verify that the money reached our account and record the real transfer reference; initiating a transfer or sending a screenshot is not verified receipt.
  • The money must reach our account before your saved payment deadline. Staff may record an on-time receipt later only while your original booking remains confirmed. Send the reference promptly: if the booking has already been released before verification, it remains cancelled and we arrange return of the transfer. A fresh booking depends on current availability and agreement; money is not automatically moved to it.
  • Late, underpaid, overpaid or wrong-currency transfers require staff reconciliation and an arranged return. They do not automatically secure a booking. There is no new deadline extension for manual transfers. Automated payment-due reminders require a payable online link and the original 24-hour allowance.
  • After staff approval you may have as little as 1 hour to pay. Using Bangkok calendar dates at approval, pickup on that date or earlier allows 1 hour, the next date 3 hours, and two or more dates later 24 hours. You receive the full window even if it ends after scheduled pickup; payment and handover requirements still apply. If the window would end between 20:00 and 08:00 Thailand time, the deadline moves forward to the next 09:00 Thailand time.
  • Watch for payment instructions from Tamarind. The clock starts at approval, so later instructions leave less time; sending or resending details, or retrying payment, does not restart it. Contact Tamarind promptly if instructions have not arrived. Pickup changes and the existing one-use outage extension do not change the original allowance or its reminder policy. Automated payment-due reminders require an original 24-hour window and an active online payment link; no automated payment-due reminder is sent for a 1-hour or 3-hour window. Separate logistical pickup reminders may still be sent.
  • In a pay-at-submit checkout, the booking is confirmed only after Tamarind authenticates successful payment with its payment provider. A browser return or success screen alone is not proof of confirmation.
  • The selected bike, dates, price, customer details, and legal acceptance are recalculated and checked at checkout.
  • Availability and website access are not guaranteed. The dashboard and Tamarind's direct messages show the durable status of the request or booking.

Customer Duties

  • Customers must provide accurate contact and identity information.
  • Required identity documents must be presented for physical inspection. If the customer declared that they hold a motorcycle licence, that physical licence must also be presented before pickup.
  • Customers must follow Thai traffic law and return the motorbike at the agreed time and condition.

Payments, Cancellation, And No-Show

  • Prices are quoted in Thai baht and may include daily or multi-day rate tiers.
  • Available payment methods depend on the booking and payment stage. Follow the instructions Tamarind provides for your payment; an online payment link is used only when supplied. For an agreed external transfer, a screenshot or customer confirmation alone is not proof that Tamarind has received the money.
  • A reservation payment is credited to the booking price. The remaining balance must be paid before pickup or delivery.
  • Full prepayment saves 5% on the original rental price plus any delivery/collection fee; later extensions, upgrades, late fees, damage, fuel, equipment loss, return charges, and the refundable security deposit receive no discount.
  • Any refund still owed from the latest eligible pre-pickup booking change is preserved first, up to the current overpayment; money already refunded is not owed twice. A customer cancellation received more than 72 hours before pickup retains up to THB 1,000 from the remaining net rental payment and creates a refund due for the remainder. Exactly 72 hours or less before pickup retains that remaining net rental payment.
  • No-show is declared three hours after scheduled pickup when the customer has not contacted Tamarind. A no-show preserves any refund still owed from the latest eligible pre-pickup booking change, up to the current overpayment, then retains the remaining net rental payment and releases the bike; late arrival does not automatically reactivate the booking.
  • A Tamarind-initiated cancellation returns all rental money and any cash deposit, releases an unused card hold, and leaves any captured security separately owed until refunded. Tamarind absorbs payment-provider fees and initiates any refund due within two business days. A refund is described as sent only after the real refund movement exists; bank arrival time is not guaranteed.
  • Late pickup does not extend due-back time. A voluntary early return creates no automatic refund unless an admin records a Tamarind-caused exception.

Security Deposits And Card Holds

  • Bring the full refundable security deposit in cash on pickup day.
  • An online Omise hold, when offered, lasts up to seven days and must cover return plus 24 hours. No card security is taken at online booking.
  • Rentals too long for an online hold require cash.
  • A hold reserves card capacity, including your own funds when using a debit card. Renewals require room for the new hold before the old one is released; cash or another card is the fallback. Your bank controls when released capacity reappears.
  • Staff may charge a late bike's hold before it ends to retain refundable security. Assessed charges use that security and its unused portion is refunded in full without deducting card fees. A safety charge is a payment held as security, never a released hold.
  • The Deposit And Late Fee Policy explains coverage, release, lapse, assessed charges, cash replacement and refunds. A pending refund remains owed until its actual payment is recorded.

Booking Changes

  • One customer-requested pre-pickup reschedule is available when Tamarind receives the request more than 72 hours before pickup and inventory is available. Tamarind reprices at current prices, carries the real payment, and collects or refunds the difference. A full-prepay booking keeps its 5% discount against the replacement booking.
  • A reschedule request exactly 72 hours or less before pickup is treated as cancellation plus a new booking unless an admin records an exception.
  • Customer-requested bike changes use current prices before actual handover, including after scheduled pickup but strictly before scheduled due-back. After actual handover, an upgrade is prorated for the remaining rental; a voluntary downgrade creates no automatic refund.
  • A Tamarind-caused replacement has no upgrade charge. A materially worse replacement or meaningful lost rental time receives a proportional refund.
  • An extension creates no late fee when staff approve it before due-back, the customer accepts it, and the bike remains available. Extensions never displace another hold or booking and receive no original full-prepay discount.
  • If Tamarind cannot provide paid delivery and the rental continues by shop pickup, Tamarind refunds the delivery charge. A customer-chosen more expensive delivery arrangement may require a documented difference.

Handover And Formal Rental Policies

  • Online acceptance covers the booking request, payment, privacy, deposit, damage, identity-document, and related website policies linked below. It does not replace the paper rental agreement signed before pickup or delivery.
  • Tamarind may refuse handover if required payment, deposit, identity checks, safety checks, legal eligibility, or the paper rental agreement is incomplete.
  • Online payment, email, storage, authentication, security, and hosting may depend on third-party service providers described in the Privacy Policy.
