Rental Agreement Overview

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This page summarizes the rental conditions customers can review online. It is not the transaction-specific paper rental agreement: Tamarind and the customer complete and sign that agreement before the motorbike is handed over.

Online Booking And The Paper Agreement

  • An approval-first online submission is a request until Tamarind approves it. A pay-at-submit booking is confirmed only after authenticated provider settlement. Staff-created rentals follow the recorded staff workflow.
  • Approval and payment are separate: follow the payment instructions and deadline for your booking. A booking payment counts toward rental charges and does not replace the separate security required at handover.
  • Before pickup or delivery, Tamarind and the customer complete the separate paper rental agreement for the actual motorbike, rental period, handover condition, price, deposit, and responsibilities.
  • The signed paper agreement, the online policies accepted with the booking, and mandatory law apply together. Ask Tamarind about any difference before signing or accepting the motorbike.

Before Handover

  • Any remaining rental balance and the separate full agreed motorcycle security must be settled before pickup or delivery. Online Omise holds, when offered, last up to seven days and must cover return plus 24 hours.
  • Bring the full refundable security deposit in cash on pickup day.
  • Rentals too long for an online hold require cash.
  • The customer must present required identity evidence for physical inspection. A customer who declared that they hold a valid motorcycle licence must present that licence for physical inspection.
  • Staff record the assigned bike, pickup odometer, fuel, included accessories, condition notes, and any condition photos used in the handover workflow.
  • Staff may refuse handover when the paper agreement, documents, deposit, payment, safety condition, or legal eligibility is not satisfactory.

During The Rental

  • The customer is responsible for lawful, careful use of the motorbike during the agreed rental period.
  • The motorbike may not be transferred to another rider without staff approval.
  • The customer is responsible for traffic offences, fines, prohibited use, and agreed operating limits attributable to the customer or an unauthorized rider.
  • The customer must contact Tamarind promptly after an accident, breakdown, theft, police stop, or material damage.

Return

  • The motorbike must be returned by the due-back time unless staff approve an extension.
  • Staff record odometer, fuel, condition, return photos, equipment, late return, deposit, and payment facts used to settle the return.
  • Staff release an unused card hold or record assessed charges against it. A debit-card hold blocks your own money and the bank controls release timing. Online holds need fresh customer approval through Omise; they do not renew automatically. Renewals need room for a new hold before the old one is released; cash or another card is the alternative.
  • An unknown online charge is checked before another collection. The saved physical return time and assessment do not change while waiting. An unused hold can be released after the physical return is completed; staff continue to track the release until confirmed.
  • For a late bike near hold expiry, staff may take a safety charge as refundable security. Its unused part is refunded in full after inspection, with card fees absorbed by Tamarind. A pending refund is still owed, including after full cash replacement; a lapsed uncharged hold is not money returned.
  • The first 30 late minutes are free. After that, the published late fee and daily cap in the Deposit and Late Fee Policy apply unless staff record a reasoned waiver.
  • Damage and equipment charges require itemization and evidence. Fuel shortfall is charged at a fixed THB 150 for each missing step on the gauge scale saved at handover. The recorded handover and return fuel levels are the charge authority. Photos are optional corroboration. Each bike uses its model’s configured marks or equivalent analogue steps; shortfalls across swaps are collected together at final return. If a bike’s handover fuel basis was not recorded, that period is unchargeable; earlier documented charges remain payable. Staff do not enter an arbitrary fuel amount.
  • Return completion is the last point for new upward damage, fuel, late, or equipment charges. A later correction is a separate linked reduction or refund on its real date.
